Antihistamine tablets and nasal sprays are not designed to relieve allergy eyes specifically. On the contrary, many allergy medications contain a decongestant, which can be drying to the eyes, and dry eyes can be more susceptible to allergens. Since it goes right to the source of the problem, by adding PATADAY
™ solution to your allergy treatment regimen, you can treat your eyes more directly than with oral or nasal allergy medications alone.
The recommended use of PATADAY
™ solution is one drop in each eye once-a-day, or as recommended by your healthcare provider. Care should be taken not to touch the tip of the bottle to any surface.

PATADAY
™ solution should not be used by patients with a known hypersensitivity to olopatadine hydrochloride or any component of PATADAY

™ ophthalmic solution is for topical use only.
The most common adverse reactions to PATADAY
™ solution were cold syndrome and pharyngitis reported at an incidence of approximately 10%. Other adverse events included eye pain, blurred vision, sinusitis and headache occuring in 5% or less of patients.

Olopatadine was found not to be teratogenic in rats and rabbits. However, rats treated at 600 mg/kg/day, or 150,000 times the maximum recommended ocular human dose (MROHD), during organogenesis showed a decrease in live fetuses. In addition, rats treated with 600 mg/kg/day of olopatadine during organogenesis showed a decrease in fetal weight. Further, rats treated with 600 mg/kg/day of olopatadine during late gestation through the lactation period showed a decrease in neonatal survival and body weight. There are, however, no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. Because animal studies are not always predictive of human responses, this drug should be used in pregnant women only if the potential benefit to the mother justifies the potential risk to the embryo or fetus.
Olopatadine has been identified in the milk of nursing rats following oral administration. It is not known whether topical ocular administration could result in sufficient systemic absorption to produce detectable quantities in the human breast milk. Nevertheless, caution should be exercised when PATADAY (olopatadine hydrochloride ophthalmic solution) 0.2% is administered to a nursing mother.
Clinical trials show that PATADAY
™ solution is safe and effective for administration to children 3 years and older. Safety and effectiveness in children below the age of 3 years have not been established.
Some nonprescription eye drops such as vasal constrictors temporaily relieve your symptoms, but after three or four hours their effect tends to wear off. Through repeated use of nonprescription eye drops, your eyes can become even more red than before. PATADAY
™ solution is safe to use as long as you need it and is only dosed once-a-day.

There are many signs and symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis, including

PATADAY
™ solution is safe to use as long as you need it. Labeling does not limit the length of time over which PATADAY
™ solution may be used. PATADAY
™ solution was found to be effective in the treatment of itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis when dosed once-a-day in patients who were exposed to allergens in their environment.

PATADAY
™ solution is not expected to interfere with the results of allergen skin testing as the low blood level of drug expected to occur following the usual topical ophthalmic dose should not produce a systemic effect.
Yes, PATADAY
™ solution contains benzalkonium chloride (BAC), a preservative most commonly used in topical ophthalmic products. Since BAC can be absorbed by contact lens materials, it is necessary to remove contact lenses before using PATADAY
